Before you begin using online registration please note: You will be UNABLE to activate your account if you do not have an
email address in the system OR if you try to use a different email address than what is already in the system. If you try to activate
an account with an invalid email address you will receive an error message such as “Customer Not Found.”
If the email address on file is not correct, send an email (from the correct email account) to registration@sdgirlscouts.org. Include the member’s First Name, Last Name, Address, Telephone, SU #650, and Troop #. Request they update the email address and send you confirmation so you can begin the online registration process.
Important note: Each member has a separate account and must have a unique user name and password. Accounts for girls and
adults in the same family are NOT linked.

Step 1: Activate Account (If you have already activated your account skip to Step 3)
- Go to http://www.sdgirlscouts.org.
- Click Register Online.
- Click First Time Visitors/Activate Account.
- Enter the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address on file with council (you can use the paper form for reference if you have it).
- Click Continue. You will see a message that you have been validated as a customer in the system and have been sent
an email. This confirmation email may take awhile to receive.
Step 2: Create User
- Open the confirmation email and click on the authentication link in the message.
- Fill in the requested information on the CREATE USER page (Username, Password, etc). Please note that the first form field for “User Name” must be a minimum of 7 characters and contain 1 number. This will be the “username” you will log in with.
- You will also be asked to choose a security question. This is so your password can be recovered should you forget.
- Once you submit the username/password info, the page will update with a “you’re successful!” message, and you will see your name
in the upper right corner of the page. Your account is now activated. You should be logged on and can continue to Step 4. If you are not logged on, continue to Step 3.

Step 3: Log-In (for previously Activated accounts)
- Go to http://www.sdgirlscouts.org.
- Click Register Online.
- Click Returning Visitors/Login Here.
- Enter your username and password at the login prompt, then click Login.

Step 4: Re-Registration
- In the left column, click Renew. You will see the Girl Scout Promise and Law while the new page loads. Just wait for the page to finish loading. You should now be on a GSUSA PAY RENEWAL shopping cart page with a “Membership 2012” line for $12.00.
- Click Add or Edit next to the name. This will take you to the ADDITIONAL DEMOGRAPHICS page. Fill in the required demographic fields (in bold), and check that your info is up to date.
- Adult Position Codes: Adults need to self-designate their position codes for each troop they are
associated with. This is on the bottom of the My Accounts page. Select the POSITION, YEAR, and TROOP number (it will search for your troop, which you select), then Add Position. It will appear in your list as pending until it is processed. Detailed onstructions are here.
- Adult Mandatory Info: Number of years in Girl Scouts as a girl AND as an adult. If you are not sure make your best guess.
If you were not in GS as a girl you must enter 0. All other information for adults is optional. However, providing the additional
information helps council to serve us better.
- Girl Mandatory Info: Number of years in Girl Scouts, School Grade, School Name (click the search link and enter only part of the
school name, no punctuation or abbreviations), Guardian1(name/address/phone).
- Click SAVE at the bottom of the page after the mandatory information has been entered. The website will show the Girl Scout law while it finishes saving. When it returns ot the GSUSA PAY RENEWAL page you can proceed to Step 5 and payment.
Note: The website will NOT process your payment until all required fields are filled in and the ADD button changes to EDIT.
Step 5: Check-out, GSUSA Pay Renewal
- On the GSUSA PAY RENEWAL page, enter your credit/debit card information, and click Process Payment.
- When you see the ORDER SUMMARY page, you are done, and you will see the balance is $0.
