Girls/adults who are continuing

  • Each parent needs to set up an account online and renew their daughter. Online renewal instructions for parents are here.
  • Alternatively, leaders can renew the girls in their troop online using the Troop Management Portal. However, a paper registration form must also be filled out and signed. Forward a copy of the from to the Service Unit Registrar.
  • Adults need to select their position codes online. Instructions are here.

NEW Girl Scout Members

Troop leaders can add new members into their existing troop using the online Troop Management Portal. A paper registration form must also be filled out and signed. Forward one copy of the form to the Service Unit Registrar.

NOTE: “New” means they have NEVER participated in Girl Scouts, anywhere. If they have participated elsewhere, then follow the instructions for Troop Transfers.

New Troops

  1. Have each parent complete a paper form for their daughter and give you the $12 registration fee (or an opportunity fund form).
  2. Have each adult who will be registering complete a paper form and give you the $12 registration fee.
  3. Organize the forms/payment and complete the Membership Dues Summary form (service unit 650, leave the troop number blank). The White original of each form is submitted to the Service Unit Registrar.
  4. Put the Registration forms, Membership Dues Summary and non-cash payments in the pre-addressed envelope and either mail it or drop it off to the Service Unit Registrar. Notes: We cannot accept cash. You will be notified by email when you have been assigned a troop number.

Disbanding Troops

Note: There are many alternatives to completely disbanding the troop. For more information, contact Suzy Hosie.

If your troop is disbanding, the first step is to ask every parent if their daughter wants to continue in Girl Scouts, but find another troop. If they do, contact Deb Kissner (K-5), our lead troop organizer or Shelli Edwards (6+), our troop organizer for older girls. Next, contact our service unit treasurer for instructions on closing the bank account and completing the final financial reports for your troop.
